Contents: Main body, Brian Condor, Great Booster, optional wings parts (when resting), turbo smasher punch (right hand/left hand), Kaiser Sword, optional chest parts (when using kaiser sword), two Blade Swords , two God Thunder Effects, several interchangeable hands, display stand, three stand joints, support arm (short/long).
The packaging is conceptually identical to those of the Shin Getters and with a respectable weight, we are talking about 3.5 kg. We therefore have the external brown box with the stylized image of the mecha and the various writings on the sides. Inside, the beautiful overcover with designed back protects all the contents. A polystyrene box and five plastic blisters are used to contain the model and all its accessories. Let's see in order all the contents of the package.

The robot:
The first impact with the Great Mazinkaiser is devastating, the model is heavy and with a truly fantastic level of detail. The Great alone already exceeds one kilogram in weight which, with the wings mounted, reaches about 1.3 kg! The height is 26 cm, therefore in line with that of the Shin Getter, it reaches 32 cm by mounting the Great Booster. The conception of the model is the classic one to which CCS has accustomed us and which always proves to be the best in this sector for this type of product. Classic heavy metal internal frame with plastic external parts.

Painting/Coloring:
In terms of coloring and painting, the work done by CCS is truly laud and marvelous. There is not the slightest smudge or inaccuracy, not even in the most hidden points of the model. The chromatic combination between dark blue, gray and gold, has wonderful metallic tones that expertly bring out every part and the smallest detail on the Great Mazinkaiser.
Seeing the metallic gold elbow, hip, knee and ankle joints is an absolute sight! It makes you smile to think of some products from far more established and noble companies showing a truly mediocre degree of finish!

The Kaiser Pilder:
Many productions dedicated to the various Mazingers have one thing in common, the various non-transformable Pilders, Brian Condors and Kaiser Pilders. In most cases there are two versions, an aesthetically normal one accompanied by a second smaller one, ready to be inserted into the robot head. CCS, for its Great Mazinkaiser, has created a simple solution to insert the Brian Condor. The tip of the shuttle rotates backwards allowing it to be hooked into the seat inside the head. Obviously we cannot speak of a real transformation, but CCS must be acknowledged for having thought of an alternative solution dedicated to the pilot's small shuttle.

The joints:
The friction joints are incredibly robust, sometimes it is difficult to bend certain parts, such is the resistance of these joints. The mobility of the Great Mazinkaiser stands at nothing short of exceptional levels, thanks to the numerous joints inserted on the model. Together with the great resistance mentioned above, the new born of the Mortal Mind series can reproduce spectacular poses, without ever giving way to sagging. Each section of the body has a wide range of action which allows the user to pose the model with extreme simplicity and safety. Particularly appreciated is the independent movement of the shoulders which, thanks to a pin with mobile arm, can be raised and tilted freely. This solution is particularly useful when we go to position the arms, because it allows us to work more simply in the movement phase. The other parts of the body are no less. The torso bends forward, rotates and tilts sideways, while the arms, despite having a fairly bulky aesthetic, have a joint that allows the elbow to bend well beyond 45 degrees. A welcome novelty is the presence of a real articulated wrist which helps to aesthetically embellish certain positions of the model. The problem seen on the Mazinger Zero has been definitively solved, the two mobile side panels are now fixed to the structure, in this way CCS has solved the detachment defect. The legs can rotate and also be widened considerably and, thanks to the movement of the two external blades to the femurs, increase the degree of opening and rotation. The knees have a double joint that manages the positioning phases, the first in the upper part and the second for the lower part. In the maximum bending phase it is also possible to admire the rear panels of the calf which return and accompany the entire movement phase. We conclude with the articulation of the ankles and feet. CCS proposes the same solution seen in the Shin Getter One, a triple joint that manages the phases of movement and at the same time allows the part to adapt according to the chosen pose. We can therefore freely tilt, rotate and lift the feet of the model to always obtain the most suitable stability. There is also the articulation that allows the foot to bend the toe, this has already been seen in all previous productions.

The accessories:
The Great Mazinkaiser accessory kit has several components, all excellently made. From the beautiful Great Booster to the Thunder Effects there is a lot to enjoy and also some flaws to point out, but let's proceed in order:
The weapons of the Great Mazinkaiser are a mix between those of the Great Mazinger and those of the classic Mazinkaiser. We have the pair of swords (Blade Sword), the great sword for the final blow (Kaiser Sword), and the classic rotating hammers that have always characterized the two powerful Mazingers. There are also the classic hands with jointed fingers, always excellently made, but also the alternative ones are no different. We have two pairs with different inclinations to wield the various swords. Replacing them introduces a new solution that appears for the first time in a CCS model. Instead of having the classic fixed pin, we find a small cylindrical block magnetically fixed inside the forearm. By removing it, the various types of hands are replaced in a much simpler and faster way. This new solution has also been designed to accommodate the hands (without articulation) with light effects which, inside the coupling cylinder, have a battery circuit for ignition. In this way there are no buttons external to the model, preserving its aesthetics perfectly. The lighting effects certainly don't end there. In the package we find different parts to form the God Thunder Effects which can be assembled in three different configurations. The control unit with the light circuit is the attachment point for the various arrows that we can position as we like. CCS has inserted two control units in order to be able to replicate double discharges with different aesthetics. In addition to this, it is also possible to combine the two components to obtain a double-dimensional effect. Here comes a small problem, how do you attach the Thunder Effects to the glowing hands? Unfortunately CCS has not conceived a fixing seat even if the shape of the open hands is clearly carved on the parts of the control unit. The solution is to place the effects on the palms of the hands, clearly facing upwards. In addition to this, it is possible to support the electric discharges in two other ways. One is that of the double grip, in this way the effects remain firmly in the hands of the model, the second is that of using the luminous hand with the index finger raised towards the sky. Taking advantage of one of the holes in the light base, it is possible to fix one of the two Thunder Effects and thus replicate the iconic pose from Tetsuya's mecha!

Great booster:
Now let's see the accessory that raises the spectacularity of the Great Mazinkaiser to maximum power, the beautiful Great Booster! 37 cm of maximum wingspan, 22 of maximum length, 17 movement points…. just to let you know what we're talking about. CCS crafted the Great Booster sublimely. Not a simple accessory to be left in the package because it is too bulky, but a masterpiece that becomes an integral part of the model! I assure you that, once assembled, you will absolutely not be able to put it back in the box. The aesthetics alone would already be enough to make your jaw drop, but it is when you discover all the gimmicks it is equipped with that you understand the great care taken by CCS. The coupling to the Great Mazinkaiser pops out, enters the fixing seat through two grooves obtained on the edges. It is completely made of metal and has the possibility of being inclined at 45 degrees through a special blocking point. The wings are movable and have different types of movement. They can be folded forward along their entire length and further tilted by pulling out a special section that handles the operation. Then opening the curved parts outwards we see the tips rise and reveal internal details. On the central body the rear flaps close completely, while by pulling the tip of the Booster forward, a snap mechanism extracts the reactors on the back. All the aesthetics of the steering wheel support are treated in detail, with engraved panels interspersed with small metallic gray inserts. There isn't a part of the Great Booster that doesn't have a detailed finish, even the reactors on the outside have small gold colored inserts! In short, a real feast for the eyes that makes the final aesthetics of the Great Mazinkaiser truly devastating! However, such beauty also hides a small problem, the weight of the Booster effectively cancels the forward inclination of the torso, but in no way precludes the stability of the model. I can assure you that the Great Mazinkaiser with wings mounted, can easily assume very spectacular dynamic poses.

Turbo Smasher Punch:
Turbo Smasher Punches feature large blades on their forearms. These accessories attach magnetically to the sides thanks to powerful magnets, two for each side.

Impulse Kick:
Another iconic weapon is part of the accessories park, we are talking about the spike that comes out of the knee, the Impulse Kick. To achieve the classic pose dedicated to this weapon, you need to remove the kneepad and simply insert the large blade.

Stand Display:
As always, is included the classic display stand that CCS has accustomed us to with previous productions. We have a black/glossy base with metal rods of different heights and two supports to alternate. One fixed and one mobile. Also in this case, however, CCS wanted to insert a small novelty by modifying the supports that hook onto the model. Just the fixing phase has been modified to make the display through the stand even safer. The block occurs with a spring pin which, once lowered, allows the hooking and fixing of the Great Mazinkaiser thanks to a small sliding rail. No longer an interlocking plastic pin, but a whole metal part that hooks onto the display base support.

Personal considerations:
CCS has given us a truly extraordinary Great Mazinkaiser, it has everything an enthusiast of the sector would like to find by purchasing a high-category model. With attention to every detail and with a truly incredible aesthetic impact, the new Mortal Mind is destined to become one of the most beautiful models of the year. Once again CCS demonstrates great care and, above all, innovative will without stopping at the success achieved with the previous production. With each release, it raises the bar with a tangible increase in manufacturing quality that unquestionably places it at the top of manufacturers in robotic collecting. Once again I thank all the Gokin.it staff and CCS itself for providing us with the preview model.
